 Welcome to Bomet University College and to the Division of Administration and Finance.The Divisions has two (2) Departments namely: Administration and Finance; two (2) Sections namely: Human Resource, Information Communication Technology (ICT); and four (4) Units namely: Health Unit, Development; Performance Contracting (PC) and ISO; Maintenance and Transport.
The functions of the departments, sections and units of the Division are effectively coordinated to seamlessly create a conducive environment for Teaching and Learning, Research, Consultancy, Extension Outreach, Technology Innovation and Digital Transformation in the University College. These functions are aligned to the BUC Strategic Objectives as captured in the Strategic Plan.
The Division coordinates various functions which include: Policy development to guide management of human, physical, financial and information resources; Implementation of Governments funded Capital Development and Internal Development projects; Annual Performances Contracting (PC), Implementation of Negotiated Targets and Reporting; Staff Establishment, Recruitment and Appointments; Financial Management; Administrative support for Implementation of annual Procurement Plan; Development of Quality Management Systems and ISO Procedures; Development, Implementation and Review of Strategic Plans and Master Plans; Occupational Safety and Health; Welfare and wellbeing of Staff and Students; and Compliance with relevant statutory/legal requirements by the University College.
Integration of the BUC Niche – “Green Economy for Sustainability” is at the core of all the functions and the Division strives to achieve the Vision of University College. In the Development Unit, green building has been embraced through adjustments on designs for the ongoing projects to incorporate green ideas.
In line with the Government’s Directive of implementing the set target of a minimum ten (10) percent tree cover, and as one of the PC Target for BUC, the Division has been involved in coordinating greening of Bomet University through continual tree seedling planting on its Parcels of Land. This activity has been bolstered through Stakeholder engagement with Partners, who share in the vision of greening the environment.
Stakeholder engagement activities relating to Corporate Social Responsibility are spearheaded by the Division. These activities are undertaken to bridge gaps in meeting the basic sanitation requirements, such as connectivity to clean Water Supply for the two neighbouring Primary and Secondary Schools.
Embedded in the culture of the Division are the core Values of BUC which include integrity, patriotism, transparency and accountability; and commitment.
The Division is committed to meeting Service Delivery as per the Charter.
